Arnold Palmer's Daughter Says President Trump's Comments Were Unacceptable

Image
Criticism of Trump's Comments on Arnold Palmer Daughter of golf icon Arnold Palmer Peg Palmer Wears addresses recent comments from former President Donald Trump about her late father as "unacceptable" and "disrespectful." She said that instead of talking about her dad on his campaign trail, President Trump should focus on giving more substantive content about policy during his events. Donald Trump made some remarks the other day about her late dad at Arnold Palmer Airport.  Some of his remarks during that include those he made at a campaign rally in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport. Wears declares herself particularly offended because the airport has personal meaning for her father, who frequently traveled there for work. She stresses that the audience should be delivered more solid matters to ponder about, such as Trump's policies, rather than frivolous stories intended to trivialize profound issues. Review Woman of the Hour : Anna Kendrick's Jaw-Dropping 70s-Set True Crime Thriller

Image
Gripping Directorial Debut in the True Crime Genre Accordingly, a 70s-set true crime thriller like Woman of the Hour might make for a sensational first impression as a director for anyone, but particularly for Anna Kendrick. Shot against the placid past of California's television industry, the world premiere of the film came last year at the Toronto Film Festival, singled out as one of several actor-turned-director projects. While many fits-and-starts directorial debuts that came out of the festival, however, Kendrick's thriller is proven to be rather close to being a strong contender, showing promise both behind and in front of the camera. The Plot: A Chilling Encounter on "The Dating Game" Kendrick writes and acts in the film as Sheryl, an unemployed actress who is talked into appearing on a popular TV game show, The Dating Game. How does Sheryl have any prescience when she selects Rodney Alcala, played by Daniel Zovatto, as her date when, in fact, he is a notorious...

Elon Musk's X to make a controversial change to block feature

Image
Major turn for X's block feature Elon Musk's platform, now called X and formerly Twitter, is making a drastic alteration in the blocking feature. And the response from the users was seriously savage. Under the new update, it seems to move from the direction of almost vanishing the user's capability to view their own tweets even if someone has blocked the user, and thus seems to compromise privacy and safety. What's Changing? According to X's engineering page, this new change does have an impact on public accounts. A blocked user can still view the blocker's updates but cannot interact with him or her. That is different from the status quo, where blocking prevents both viewing and interaction. X says this new practice promotes "greater transparency." Users can follow if someone who has blocked them is posting harmful or private content online. Users' Response to Change This latest update has earned the site a lot of criticisms. Various critics have ...

Harris's Brash Confrontation with Bret Baier Pops MAGA Grand Illusion

Image
For ten years, Fox News created a protective bubble around Donald Trump. Yesterday, Vice President Kamala Harris shattered it. Harris's Stand Against Fox News One memorable exchange in a recent Bret Baier interview on Fox News, for example, will surely stand out. Harris summarily put Baier in his place regarding his decision to broadcast a version of Trump's comments that removed his frightening threat to unleash the military on what he called "the enemy within." The Harris campaign quickly leaked the exchange, suggesting they were pleased with how she responded . Holding Trump's Carefully Fought-for Image Political observers almost immediately sensed what this said and didn't say. "Harris obliterated the caricature of her as some Dorian Gray in public view, devoid of any seriousness or speed of thought," Andrew Egger of The Bulwark noted. This did more than subvert expectations-it busted open a larger narrative. The Fantastical World Surrounding Tru...

Is Kamala Harris Turning Conservative After Her Fox News Interview? Absolutely Not—She's Just Feeling the Heat

Image
Harris Faces Tight Polls Kamala Harris is no stranger to the current political landscape which is marked with recent polls showing her neck-and-neck with former President Donald Trump. Trump has also stepped up his game in crucial battleground states like Michigan, making the said election a tight competition. Media Strategy Shifts Until now, Harris has chosen friendly forums for her media appearances—talk shows, podcasts, and news sources that share her views. Those interviews have made up the lion's share of her "media blitz," even though her performances haven't exactly been stellar. But this week marks a major shift in her media strategy. For the first time, Harris will do a sit-down interview with Fox News, which is scheduled to air on Wednesday. Bret Baier will conduct the interview. Tough Questions Ahead Baier has promised not to pull any punches with Harris. He said the interview will be lightly edited only for time purposes, and he did state that no subject w...

Why Tesla's Robotaxi Doesn't Add Up

Image
Tesla recently hosted a "We, Robot" event and outlined ambitious new plans for a new fleet of autonomous vehicles. The event was rolled out on a Hollywood movie set, where the "Cyber cab" came out-a futuristic self-driving car sans steering wheel and built to eventually become a kind of rentable mobile Airbnb. Image by Tesla / Futurism The Hype vs. Reality With the hype surrounding the announcement, well-known tech critic Marques "MKBHD" Brownlee came forth with very large issues in a fresh video. He termed most of what Tesla promised as impossible, without practical solutions. Unreasonably High Pricing One of the largest red flags is Tesla's statement that the Cyber cab will have a price tag of just $30,000. This would imply that Tesla has to launch the Cybertruck in an environment where the company is still fighting to overcome the launches of the Cybertruck. Any person with any type of knowledge of Tesla would ask himself where such low price point ...
