To clarify what is required and what is not for the Bihar land survey, the Bihar Directorate of Land Records and Survey has issued a new notice for landowners regarding the Bihar Special Land Survey. If you are concerned about the Bihar land survey, this notice is for you. You need to review all the information provided in the notice point by point and prepare your documents accordingly. Based on these documents, your ancestral land will be registered in your name, so there is no need to worry. Required Documents for Bihar land Survey
- Submit Form-2 of the self-declaration for the land held by the raiyat (landowner) or their descendants to your local camp or upload it on the Land Records and Survey website at dirs.bihar.gov.in
- The descendants of Khatiyani Raiyat/Jamabandi Raiyat must prepare a family tree in Form-3 (i) and submit it to their local camp or upload it on the directorate’s website at dirs.bihar.gov.in
- Attach a copy of the revenue receipt with the self-declaration.
- If the land was purchased, exchanged, or donated, attach a copy of the document.
- If there is an order from a competent court, attach a copy of the order.
- 6. Attach a copy of the settlement land certificate, Bhoodan certificate, or Vaasgeet Parcha.
- If the Jamabandi Raiyat is still alive, only a self-declaration (Form-2) is required, not a family tree.
These documents are not required for Bihar Land Survey
- There is no need to take oath before Executive Magistrate/Notary Public on the genealogy in Form-3(i).
- It is not necessary to get the genealogy in Form-3(i) signed by the representative of the concerned Gram Panchayat.
- There is no need for a true copy of Khatian.
- Your presence on your land plot is not mandatory during the installment process. If you yourself or any of your trusted representatives are present on the land, it will be easy for the survey personnel to identify.
- An updated/online copy of the revenue receipt is not required.
